Today I'm sharing the second sample of my newest quilt pattern – Rolly Stack!
For this second sample of Rolly Stack, I used a jelly roll from my fabric collection Between the Pages with some Confetti Cottons in White. Rolly Stack is my newest quilt pattern and it's jelly roll friendly, and FQ friendly, and perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a quick project!
Between the Pages Jelly Roll
Often, when working on a quilt pattern release I create a minimum of two quilt samples–one in all solid fabrics and one in prints. However, I broke with this rule for Rolly Stacks!

I debated for a while what the second sample for Rolly Stack would be – part of me wanted to grab from solids FQs and get to cutting. However, it's not often I work with Jelly Rolls (Layer Cakes are my go-to precut!), and this pattern had me dying to try some more jelly rolls. Plus, I was dying to see what this pattern looked like with larger scale prints. So I threw out the (fictional) rule book and grabbed a Between the Pages jelly roll I had in my studio.
This proved to be the best decision because I am in love with how this quilt looks!

Long Arm Quilting
As I was working on this sample, I knew I wouldn't be able to quilt it myself as much as I wanted to–my schedule was just too full and I had other deadline creeping up! So I packed it up and sent it to Lilo at Trace Creek Quilting to longarm.
After some more internal debate, I picked Driftwood as the pantograph to use–I love the subtle waves to the quilting to add some movement to the overall quilt, while maintaining the focus on the prints on the fabric.

For the finishing details–backing and binding–I kept it simple. I went with Dapple Dot in Silver for the backing, and used Between the Pages' navy stripe for the binding because you simply cannot go wrong with a striped binding!
I honestly ADORE how this quilt came out and I am so glad I skipped my usual all-solids sample for this quilt pattern release. I just love this so, so much! (That's not to say I won't try an all-solids sample soon haha!)
