The Copihue (pronounced co-pee-way) is the national flower of Chile, my home country. This modern quilt pattern was inspired by its distinct bell shape and uses block rotation and reflection for a modern look full of fun whimsy. Copihue is the perfect pattern for confident or advanced beginner sewists ready to try curves.

Pattern includes helpful diagrams, detailed instructions, and links to helpful video tutorials for those trying curves for the first time.

Sizes: Baby (43″ x 47″), Throw (61″ x 67″), Twin (67″ x 86"), and Queen (91″ x 86″).

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner. The pattern assumes the quilter knows basic piecing and is comfortable sewing curves.

Love it

This pattern is absolutely gorgeous, well described and easy to follow! I made both the throw and the baby size and both came out beautiful

Excellent pattern

I made the crib quilt using this pattern and it turned out so beautiful! One modification I made: I made 2 extra flowers and 1 extra set of leaves and used them in the backing. This allowed me to use half the amount of backing fabric as the flowers added plenty of width, and it makes the quilt reversible. I had never sewn a quilt with curves (pretty new to quilting) but it was not complicated and the directions were great. I plan to make another in a larger size as this was so beautiful.
